About Spot
- Needs an adult household (age 12+)
- Unsuitable with cats
- Good with other dogs
Meet Spot, who is the total package! He originally came into ESRA’s care when his owner passed away. Spot is a beautiful Springer-mix boy who is housetrained and crate trained. He doesn’t necessarily need to be put into his crate, but he does well in it and seems to enjoy being there.
Spot is so smart! And he really loves his frisbees. He enjoys catching them on the fly and bringing them back for more. This handsome guy has excellent recall, and he does well off leash, although he’s also a good boy on leash. He is usually right underfoot as he follows his people around. Spot gets along with other dogs, but he does seem to be more easygoing with females. He currently lives with three other dogs, male and female. His foster caregivers have family members who regularly visit along with their dogs of many kinds, and Spot has done just fine with these other canines. Our boy does chase cats, so he will need a Forever Home without any feline residents. Spot is good with older children who are respectful. The younger, more energetic children that he’s met have been a bit much for him.
This handsome guy has been well cared for, although was overweight when he first came into rescue. He is at a good weight now, but that is something that will need to be monitored continually. Spot is up to date on all preventive maintenance, and he is completely ready to find the home of his dreams! If you think that home might be yours, please fill out an online Adoption Application and then contact his case manager via the form below. Spot would love to meet you, and we’re sure you’ll be glad you got to meet this charmer!
