Sweet Rufus came into rescue after we learned he was being left outside, with no veterinary care and lonely for human contact. He completed heartworm treatment, is healthy,y and ready to move on to his Forever Home with you.

Rufus is simply wonderful. And incredibly handsome. He is good with children, other dogs, and adults alike. He is curious about cats and sniffs them politely. Rufus sleeps in a crate at night and can be trusted throughout the day in his home. He walks beautifully on a leash. Rufus is a gentleman in the car and excellent at the vet for his checkups.

Rufus communicates well by getting off the couch and sitting in front of you to tell you he needs to go outside. He enjoys playing tug of war with a blanket he holds dear to his heart with the resident Springer. Other than that, he doesn’t play a lot. He simply wants to be loved and cuddled by YOU!! What a sweetheart of a boy anyone would welcome into the home.
