Looking for an addition to your family that will guarantee you lots and lots of laughter and love? Meet Rudolph, the boy you’ve been waiting for!
Darling Rudolph, lovingly called RuRu, is one of the sweetest, smartest pups you’ll ever meet! At only 3-4 weeks old, he, along with 17 other dogs, arrived in ESRA’s care during the holiday season—a “festive” name such as Rudolph seemed most fitting. Ruru has wonderful markings and a glorious full tail. He has an adventurous spirit, an A+ personality and fantastic temperament. His foster family has done a marvelous job with both his care and his training. They have exposed him to numerous young grandchildren; his foster siblings have been fabulous mentors. What a great start to his new life!
RuRu is full of curiosity and spunk. He loves to wrestle and is always on the go. A typical Sringer pup, he loves to explore and boy does he enjoy his toys. He has already shown a serious affinity for the water — he plunges his face in his water bowl then splashes in it with his paws. The water hose is an opportunity to jump, chase and bite at the water stream, barking and running in the spray. It’s too adorable! After play time, he’ll nibble your ears and snuggle. He is quite the character!
We’re searching for an active family with an energetic and playful dog, a securely fenced, spacious yard, and a family who isn’t away for extended periods of time. His adoptive family must be committed to his training, so Ruru grows into a well-behaved young man. He is very smart and redirects well. Last and certainly not least, we are looking for a very loving home where he will be absolutely adored. His routine is sleeping, napping and eating meals in his crate. He is just shy of being potty trained. With continued routine, ample potty breaks, and rewards/praise, he’ll be there in no time.
Ruru is an ideal and healthy weight, current on all age-appropriate vaccines, fecal negative, on heartworm and flea preventatives, as well as being microchipped. As Ruru is too young for neutering, his neuter will be the responsibility of his adopter when it’s age appropriate. A neuter clause is included in his Adoption Agreement whereby a refundable deposit is required along with his Adoption Fee. Once we receive proof of neuter, your deposit will be refunded.
If you’re looking for a beautifully spirited pup that will forever entertain you with his antics, and you meet all the criteria noted above, we hope to hear from you.
Please submit an Online Adoption Application if you are interested in Rudolph. It is always the first step in our adoption process.
Special note to all out-of-state applicants: Please ask your State Coordinator to forward your approved Adoption Application to the contact listed. Also note that all out-of-state adopters must come to Texas/Oklahoma to retrieve their dog. Transports via ESRA to other states is not available and will not be offered. Dogs will not be allowed to fly in the cargo area of a commercial aircraft. Smaller dogs that meet the weight and size restrictions for in-cabin flight will be allowed to travel in the main cabin area under the front seat of their adopter in an approved carrier following FAA and airline regulations. Cost of canine airline travel will be the responsibility of the adopting family.
