About Lilly
- Needs to be an only dog
- Experience with cats
Introducing Lilly. This sweet, pretty girl primarily has a glossy black coat, white spots on her chest, and some distinctive reddish-brown eyebrows and markings on her paws, making her a tri-colored English Springer Spaniel.
Lilly is a homebody who responds well to a gentle touch and a quiet environment. She can be overwhelmed with too much upheaval and overstimulation, but she does well with gradual changes. She is shy at first with new people, then warms up and makes friends with visitors to her foster home. Crowded public events overwhelm her; she is well-behaved but ready to retreat back to safety. She has enjoyed pets from calmer, dog-savvy children.
Her ideal home would be a quiet one where she can feel safe and share her love with her Forever Family. She is happy to watch some television, supervise the cooking, and do some gardening in a securely fenced yard. She knows basic commands and walks nicely on her leash. Lilly is crate-trained but doesn’t really need to be crated.
Lilly is intimidated by other dogs and has poor doggie social skills. She’d rather not share her humans’ attention, though she has adjusted to sharing space with the confident, well-adjusted pups in her foster home. She will cuddle and try to play with the cat.
Lilly is a wonderful dog at home in her comfortable environment. She is so loyal and prefers to be right by your side for all tasks. She loves a belly rub and will roll over on her back if she thinks she hasn’t gotten enough attention. She does a cute, bouncy dance to welcome her family home.
