About Hank
- Needs an adult household (age 12+)
- Needs to be an only dog
- Needs securely fenced yard
- High exercise needs
Special note: We are looking for a foster-to-adopt home willing to help Hank through his heartworm treatment, paid for by ESRA.
Meet Hank, a budding canine athlete who loves the water and playing fetch. He may be well suited for dock diving and agility. He’s got a slender athletic frame and can catch tennis balls in mid-air. He’s very energetic and needs plenty of exercise. Afterwards,, he’s ready to chill out and lay at your feet.
Hank also loves his people. He has the sweetest demeanor and is always so happy to see his foster parents. His greetings can be a touch too enthusiastic, and his energy level might be too much for toddlers, but he has enjoyed the older children he’s met.
This handsome dude is a beautiful liver and white Springer with highlights on his head and ears. (Think Fabio!) He’s smaller in stature with small feet but powerful hindquarters.
Hank knows the commands “sit” and “come” and his name. His foster family is working with him on “down,” “look,” and “stay.” He walks easily on a leash and doesn’t pull unless a squirrel crosses his path. He’s not reactive to other dogs or people walking by. He’s very interested (excited) in all balls, even large volleyballs.
Hank would thrive with an active Forever Family. Adopters need to exercise this boy! He loves to hike, run around the (fenced) yard, swim in pools, and play fetch. He would do best with parents working from home or retired people with plenty of time for love pats, walks, and play. He would likely do best as the only dog in his home.
We don’t know much about Hank’s past. He somehow ended up in a shelter and was pulled and vetted by ESRA. But his future is bright!
If you think Hank is the one for you, please fill out our Online Adoption Application. It is always the first step in our adoption process.
