Ernie is a handsome gentleman with a heart as big as his fluffy curls. After the loss of his beloved owner, Ernie found his way to ESRA where he’s received plenty of love, care, and a fresh start.

Since arriving, Ernie has been quite the trooper. He underwent surgery to correct cherry eye and entropion, and he healed beautifully. He’ll need daily eye drops for the rest of his life, but don’t let that worry you—Ernie takes them like a champ! We also treated a wounded paw pad, which has healed. To keep his feet happy and healthy, he’ll do best spending his outdoor time on soft grass instead of rough concrete or gravel.

Ernie is a wonderful passenger and is always happy to hop in the car for an adventure. While he currently lives with another dog, he’s made it clear that he’d much rather be the star of the show. Ernie is looking for a Forever Home where he can soak up all the love and attention as your one and only canine companion.
