Chase is an 8-year-old, 77-pound, stunning black and white tri-colored English Springer Spaniel. A big, lovable goofball whose joy is completely infectious, Chase has some of the most heartwarming quirks. Whenever he is excited or welcoming you home, he proudly carries a toy, shoe, or sock around in his mouth just to strut around and share his happiness. He completely forgets his size, too; he will literally back his 77-pound self right up into your lap just to get as close to his humans as possible.

Inside the home, Chase is an absolute dream. He is incredibly trustworthy with free roam of the house while you are away, has zero interest in counter-surfing or begging, and sleeps peacefully like a perfect gentleman on the bedroom floor at night. Chase chooses to stay independently off the furniture during the day, with the single, sweet exception of jumping up on the bed in the morning to give a very happy “good morning” greeting. He is an equal-opportunity snuggler who bonds beautifully to his entire human family, handles car rides like a pro, and does wonderfully with other dogs at the dog park.

Chase is highly intelligent, knows his basic cues like Sit, Shake, and Lay, and is working on his Stay, Heel, and recall. Because he is a big, strong boy who can pull when excited, he responds beautifully to a front-clip harness for manageable walks. He is also doing fantastic with a strict “sit and stay” training routine to curb his habit of trying to be the first one out the door.

True to his Springer heritage, Chase has a strong prey drive, so he cannot live with cats, chickens, or other small animals, and needs to be the only non-canine pet in the home. While he does fantastic with older youth and adults, his interactions with toddlers are currently untested but he recently visited an ice cream shop where he was a gentleman with children asking to pet him and he immediately rewarded them with lick. Chase is a sweet gentleman who just needs an active family committed to maintaining his consistent training boundaries. For a family looking for a loving companion to join them on walks, park trips, and cozy snuggles, Chase is the ultimate package, and his future adopter will be truly blessed.
