Say hello to spry and active birthday girl this month, Bella!! Raised and currently in foster care with her canine sister, both girls have been very competitive with each other and are not seemingly bonded. They both vie for attention and want to be the center of attention. Bella tends to be a dominant dog over other dogs.
True to her Springer self, Bella is a Velcro dog preferring to be in your lap, sleep in your bed, and spend most of the day together. Bella is working at reducing her intake as she’s a tad pudgy. Be sure to keep your counters clean, or Bella will take care of cleaning them for you. Counter surfing is really about training people, and Bella will remind you of that.
She is learning how to walk on a leash like a distinguished nine-year-old lady should. Some patience and positive reinforcement in this area is highly needed. Bella can be left alone, no crate, for short periods. She enjoys very durable chew toys and playing with balls. A fenced yard is a must.
Bella is good with children and would enjoy their company. Riding in a car seems to excite Bella; she becomes very chatty, saying hello to all who pass by. She is healthy, up to date on her vaccines, recently spayed, and ready to find her Forever Family! Let’s celebrate Bella by getting her adopted in her birthday month!!
If you’re interested in adopting Bella, please submit an Online Adoption Application. It is always the first step in our adoption process.
