Abraham is very healthy, as noted by his shiny coat and bright eyes. He’s very active and absolutely radiates joy and affection. He is often mistaken for a much younger pup.
He thrives with room to roam and would do best with a yard to run in. Abraham is very intelligent and eager to please, mastering commands like Sit, Lay, Stay (most of the time), Shake, High 5, and Circle. He plays a great game of fetch or tug (and usually will drop the item like a pro).
Though he is very friendly with adults and older children, he’s not suited to homes with toddlers. He walks well on his Gentle Leader leash. He will alert you to anyone at the door and will let you know when it’s mealtime. He enjoys a few slices of apple, banana, or carrots as a snack. He’ll bark at thunder or fireworks but then settles quickly. Due to his kind nature, he could possibly make a good therapy dog. Although he experienced a bit of separation anxiety at first, he adjusted, greeting his foster mom at the door with his ball in his mouth when she returned!
Abraham is an adorable Springer Spaniel and a faithful and loving companion. His foster mom says he’s been a joy to foster and will be missed.
