Introducing Winston, a sweet Springer boy who will celebrate his sixth birthday on Dec. 26. Winston is a typical affectionate Velcro Springer who adores his human family. He is neutered, healthy and fully housetrained. He came into rescue with a painful ear infection and allowed his foster mom to treat his ears like a gentleman.
Winston was turned over to ESRA because he was having issues with one of the other dogs in his original family. He does play well with some – but not all – dogs and even has attended doggie daycare. He can be reactive when meeting other dogs on his leash, but is showing improvement with some training and treats. He’s a smart boy and is learning quickly.
Winston would make a wonderful, living companion for the right family. He would do best as an only dog in an adult home or a home with kids ages twelve and older. He has lived with an indoor cat, and gets along fine with visiting children.
