Meet the leader of the pack -- The Boss, one of the five members of the Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band litter. This darling litter of pups was surrendered to an area shelter, as their owner was no longer able to care for them. They are absolutely priceless and we are thrilled that we got the opportunity to choose the perfect families for each of them! We believe they are mostly field-bred springers with a splash of pointer and full tails. They are very closely bonded, so please consider adopting a pair if you're looking for twice the fun!
All the pups will need large yards and plenty of daily exercise where they can really stretch their legs. We do prefer they go to a family with another young, active dog as they do love to play. They have had limited socialization so time and patience will be needed for them to settle into a family and home. We suspect they have been sequestered to the backyard all of their lives. They, however, are quickly acclimating to "the good life." As with all pups, they will need obedience training to become the best dogs they can be.
The Boss is the boys' "go to" guy for everything, the most confident of the group. They are always following his lead. If they want to play, they go to him. They tend to follow him everywhere. He is truly adorable!
The Boss is neutered and current on puppy shots, although he will need one more booster after adoption. He is microchipped for safekeeping.
If you would like to give The Boss a dream home, please contact his foster mom.
We do not place puppies as presents or surprises. The entire prospective adopting family needs to meet The Boss. Also, please remember that puppies require a lot of care, attention, and training, and they do chew on things. The decision to get a puppy and raise it to be a healthy, happy, and well-adjusted dog is a serious commitment.
Due to this puppy’s age, all out-of-state adopters must come to the state of Texas to retrieve their puppy. Puppies under six months of age will not be allowed to fly in the cargo area of a commercial aircraft. They will be allowed to travel in the main cabin area under the front of the seat of their adopter following FAA and airline regulations.
Please submit an Online Adoption Application if you are interested in The Boss. It is always the first step in our adoption process.
