At eight months old, Taylor is playful, energetic, curious, handsome and 100 percent puppy! He enjoys being with his people, playing with other dogs, running around a safely fenced yard and swimming.
Although Taylor’s foster family is working hard on basic commands, coming when called and manners, this young guy is a work in progress. He is still learning the difference between appropriate chew toys and human possessions. And do not leave that scary vacuum cleaner out in clear view; he barks at it even when it is not being used.
Taylor and his littermate (already adopted) were rescued earlier this summer from a poor living environment. As a result, they missed out on that all-important early training and socialization. Therefore, Taylor needs adopters who are experienced in training and dealing with adolescent dogs. He would do well as an only dog or with another playful dog who could help him learn the house rules. Older children would be fine, but his enthusiasm and energy level would be too much for small children. With some additional training and practice, he will make a wonderful family companion.
