Summer is a very, very sweet little girl. If you are sad about the onset of fall and want to keep Summer around all year long, here is the way to do it! This warm-hearted doll with a sunny personality is looking for a Forever Home where she will bask in attention and radiate Springer joy.

Perpetually happy Summer gets along well with other dogs, and she loves all people. She wants to be friends with everyone and everything! Nosy and inquisitive, this puppy is interested in all that is going on around her. She would really like to engage with the raccoons at her foster home, but they would rather not!

Summer is great off leash, but she pulls on lead. She is a girl on the move! As an active puppy, Summer wants to run, play, and explore. She is not hyperactive but is in constant motion. Like a small child, Summer puts everything in her mouth, though she has no problem with her foster family sticking their hands in there and pulling whatever she has found right back out!

Summer has been introduced to water, but she is still unsure of it. Her foster mom thinks that given time, this youthful sport will become a real "aqua-dog." Summer loves antlers, toys, and ropes -- and balls are a necessity. If you do not have time to throw a ball for her, silly Summer will throw one for herself!

This funny girl is a major leg licker, and she likes to come up from behind and swipe her tongue across the back of someone's bare knee. In her foster home, there are frequent shrieks of "Summer!" when she catches an unsuspecting victim. The culprit is, of course, delighted with herself.

Summer is crate trained, and she contentedly snuggles in there when her foster family is away and also during the night. As a young dog, Summer still needs to be monitored at all times. As she is not allowed on the furniture, this cuddle bug especially appreciates her soft and cozy dog bed.

While Summer is not yet completely housetrained, she and her foster family are diligently working on this issue. She still does not have a clear "I need to go" signal, so she is taken outside frequently for potty breaks. This sweetheart will need a patient, dedicated Forever Family who will continue to help her with proper housetraining skills. Summer is a smart dog who wants to learn, and she does not soil her crate.

Living up to her name, Summer is like a splendid ray of sunshine, certain to complete her lucky Forever Family with Springer love. Please contact our state coordinator to learn more delightful details about this beautiful, cheerful, black-and-white treasure.
