Sidney, who is also known as “Siddy” and “Sid,” is a loving and gentle dog. He enjoys his snuggle time on the couch with his people, and he sneaks up on the bed at night to get snuggles, too!
Sid knows the commands Sit and Come, and he's working on Stay and Down. Siddy is vocal, so he likes to greet his human with a bark. He gets along well with other dogs once they have been introduced.
Because he doesn't agree with crates, Sid has free rein of the house. However, he does like to explore. He will counter surf and get into cupboards when he can. Sidney enjoys a dog treat now and then, but he is not a beggar at the table.
Outside, Sid walks well on a leash. He knows his boundaries in an unfenced yard, but rabbits, birds, and butterflies can make him forget. Siddy notices shadows and reflections more than most dogs, and he loves to chase them. He is good at fetch with a tennis ball, and he is learning to play with other toys.
This cutie does well at the groomer, in the bath, and also at daycare. He doesn't have much experience with young children or cats. Sid can be nervous and exploratory in the car. He may relax with more practice at riding, along with patience from his new family.
Because Siddy loves his people so much, his ideal environment will be one where someone is at home most of the time. A fenced yard is not a must, but Sid needs a lot of exercise every day. He is a wonderful dog who is a diamond in the rough; with a little more training, he'll be such a wonderful companion!
