Introducing 2-year-old Piper, a sweet, energetic boy who is learning all about the good life in foster care. Piper has not experienced many things in his previous life and needs a slow introduction to anything new. He is a shy dog (with people) who is coming out of his shell to reveal a sweet, gentle soul. A canine sibling who can show him the ropes and play with him is also a requirement for Piper.
Piper is a typical young dog who loves to run and play, but he also settles down nicely to snuggle with his foster mom or chew on his antler. He is an escape artist and will chase birds and squirrels, so he does need a safely fenced area to run and play.
His leash manners are fairly good and he is housetrained, though he might need a quick refresher course in a new home. In foster care, he sleeps in his crate, but he would happily sleep anywhere close to his people. He is a typical Velco Springer who wants nothing more than to be part of the family. Piper would likely be frightened by the fast movements and loud noises of small children so a calmer household would be best for him. He has not been tested with cats.
