Introducing our newest bonded pair, 6-year-old Springer Phoebe who is blind and 5-year-old Rito, a Beagle who serves as her “seeing-eye dog.” Since they grew up together and Rito helps Phoebe get around, we are offering them as a bonded pair.
Both dogs are sweet and friendly and were family pets until their family fell upon hard times. They are housetrained, spayed and neutered, and up to date on their shots. Because Phoebe has some allergies, she does need a prescription diet.
Despite her blindness, Phoebe is playful and active. Both dogs sleep in their crates at night, use a doggie door and enjoy romps in a safely fenced yard. They are people-oriented and like to be petted and hang out with their family. While they seem to like children, they may be too rambunctious for little ones. They are getting along well with the other dogs in their foster home and adapted quickly to new surroundings.
Read about the special connection shared by a bonded pair and consider opening your heart and home to both Phoebe and Rito.
