Good-looking Peter is waiting for his Forever Family. This charming boy, who loves to cuddle, came to ESRA when a change in his family’s circumstances meant that Peter wasn’t getting the daily exercise he needed. And as a result, his anxiety level had started to creep up. It was difficult for Peter’s family to let him go, but they made the decision with his best interests in mind.
Don't let Peter’s age fool you. This guy loves to play and is not ready to retire! Mr. Handsome is well behaved and crate trained, and he knows basic commands. He LOVES to play fetch and is learning to chew his bone to keep busy. And while he does not enjoy car rides, he does enjoy the destinations!
In his previous home, Peter lived with a twelve-year-old Springer brother and a cat. He currently lives with a wild two-year-old Springer foster brother, and he loves to run with dogs of all ages. We know that Peter would thrive in an active home with a canine sibling.
Peter also shared his previous home with a toddler. But after getting to know him, we feel that he is best suited to a home with children over the age of six. In his playfulness, Peter has accidentally knocked younger children down.
In the past, Peter has eaten things that he’s not supposed to, and he once had surgery to remove a baby toy which had created an obstruction. Therefore, his Forever Family will need to be committed to watching Peter closely. He has not had any issues in his foster home.
Peter is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He is on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventives, and he is microchipped. He is ready to find the perfect Forever Family to play and snuggle with.
