Handsome Moose came to ESRA when his family situation changed. He is housetrained, crate trained, and well behaved in the house when his foster family is away during the day. He is a great car buddy, too!
Moose has good energy, and he would be a fantastic walking partner. He is strong on the leash, but he does well with an easy-walk harness. Moose loves water, and he even has a special skill: he loves to jump off a dock to retrieve a ball from the water!
This big, good-looking guy loves bones and chews. Moose always greets his foster mom in the morning with something in his mouth -- a toy, a ball, a blanket, or a bone. This is his way of telling her that he's ready to play!
Moose is in good health, although he has had ear infections in the past. His ears should be monitored, but any developing infections are easily treated with medications. Moose is very good about letting his humans administer ear meds. He sees the ear solution and lies right down to have it put in. Moose also takes salmon oil for dry skin, which seems to do the trick.
Having lived with children all his life, Moose does well with them. He recently encountered several new people and dogs at a meet-and-greet event, and he loved soaking up the attention.
Our curly-eared boy knows the commands Sit, Down, Leave It, and No. He doesn't mind being groomed. His recall is good, and he is a friend to both dogs and cats. Moose is a gem of a dog, and he will make a great companion for some lucky family!
Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and the final decision rests with the dog’s case manager.
Please submit an Online Adoption Application. It is always the first step in our adoption process.
