Introducing Logan, a sweet, mellow six-year-old Springer who would make a wonderful companion, with just a little patience and training. In foster care, Logan was initially shy and easily frightened, preferring to hang out in his crate (with the door open) or a safe spot he chose in the front hall. However, he soon realized that he was safe and perked up, prancing around and requesting neck rubs and affection. Next he discovered the joy and comfort of sleeping through the night in the human bed!
Living the good life as a family member is new to Logan. It appears that he spent most of his time crated or outdoors. As a result, he still has much to learn. Housetraining is nearly complete and his leash walking skills have improved. He enjoys walks around the neighborhood but would be overwhelmed at a dog park or busy public event. He does need to be an only dog.
Logan startles easily and is fearful of yelling and loud noises. For that reason, he is best suited to a calm household without small children. He would prefer someone home much of time and he might cry in his crate when people are away. He responds well to a gentle tone and positive reinforcement and cooperated nicely during a much-needed bath.
This gentle soul is recently neutered, fully vetted and ready to find his Forever Family.
