Hello! My name is Liv, short for Olivia. I am a very well-mannered Southern girl from Louisiana. I was picked up as a stray and adopted by a family with three children and three dogs. Then we moved to Michigan in March of 2018. I loved the kids in my previous home, but my owners decided to relinquish me to ESRA because I did not get along with one of my canine siblings. My foster mom thinks that might have been a unique situation, since I have nicely met lots of other dogs with her. I now live harmoniously with a cat, and I behave properly with everybody!
This past summer I learned many new things, including how to swim, which is super fun for me! I especially like to fish, and I will spend hours watching and diving for creatures in the water. I retrieve sticks from the lake every time they are thrown for me! I also adore walking with my people, chasing balls, and going for car rides.
Because I'm very adaptable to my family's activities and energy levels, I am happy to go for hikes, play, or sleep on the couch with my humans. My foster mom says that I am a really sweet girl with courteous manners. As a loyal canine companion, I devotedly protect and love my folks.
A Forever Home with a big yard to run around and play in would be my doggie dream come true. I think I would prefer to be an only pooch, but I can also be friends with other aptly matched animals. And I am thrilled to be around children -- they make me so cheerful!
I went from an extremely lively previous home to a calm, peaceful foster home, and I did well in both environments. So you set the pace, and I will conform to my new routine. Everyone who meets me says that I am darling and charming. If you also think so after reading my story, please contact our state coordinator today. I can't wait to meet you!
Love and doggie kisses,
