Description:

Meet handsome Lindy -- simply gorgeous inside and out. Lindy was adopted by ESRA several years ago after being pulled, as very sick boy, from an isolated rural shelter. He's led a wonderful life on acreage since then with lots of fun, lots of room to run and lots of love. Unfortunately, as it sometimes does, life changed and his adoptive family made the difficult decision that it was in his best interest to surrender Lindy back to us. So here he is! Lindy is waiting for the next phase of his life with another adoring family.

Lindy is a fabulous Springer! He's a perfect companion, best buddy, and your number one sidekick. Snuggling: he's a pro. Lindy's a beautiful athlete and would enjoy plenty of room to run. He's accustomed to living with other dogs, but we believe he might enjoy being the focus of someone's affection for a change. He's proven to fare well with older children. He appears to have a fondness for chasing cats. He's crate trained and housetrained.

He's plenty healthy, fit and at his ideal weight. Lindy’s current on his vaccinations, he's negative for heartworms and microchipped.

Lindy's world has been turned upside down. But he's resilient. We would like to place him in a home where somewhere is not gone all day and where he will get plenty of daily activity. He needs you with him, he craves so much love and so much attention. Please reach out to his Case Manager if you're a perfect match for this perfect boy.

Please submit an Online Adoption Application if you are interested in Lindy. It is always the first step in our adoption process.

Special note to all out-of-state applicants:   Please ask your State Coordinator to forward your approved Adoption Application to the contact listed.  Also note that all out-of-state adopters must come to Texas/Oklahoma to retrieve their dog.  Dogs will not be allowed to fly in the cargo area of a commercial aircraft.  Smaller dogs that meet the weight and size restrictions for in-cabin flight will be allowed to travel in the main cabin area under the front seat of their adopter in an approved carrier following FAA and airline regulations.  Cost of canine airline travel will be the responsibility of the adopting family.

Please note:  Due to the heat of the summer months, the airlines will not fly dogs during this season.  Please don’t ask us to do that.
