Miss Lacy is a bright-eyed girl who has the energy of a younger dog. She loves her squeaky toys and gentle roughhousing, but what she loves most is the company of her people. Her loving nature has won the hearts of her foster parents.
She likes to explore her backyard and will enjoy moderate leash walks but is most happy to lay by her people’s feet or snuggle on the sofa. She is meticulous about her house training, is crate trained and only chews her toys. Lacy is a good traveler and loves riding in the car.
Lacy is responsive to her people, has no desire to wander and comes when she is called. Lacy has some hearing loss and sometimes needs hand gestures to get her attention. Lacy may bark briefly when meeting new people, but quickly warms to them. And, yes, she does engage in some counter surfing if no one is looking!
Although Lacy is a healthy girl, she came to us with large mammary tumors that have been removed. Fortunately, the vet found they were only fatty tumors. She has recently recovered from the surgery and is ready to play, walk and enjoy a more active life. Lacy is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.
Cats have not been a problem for Lacy and she previously ignored them. She does not like to share her people with other dogs and would do best as an only dog. She would happily live as a pampered princess in her new Forever Home. Because her previous family left her alone for up to 17 hours a day, she would be happiest with a family that is home more than away.
Please let us know if you think you might be the right family for this snuggly, loving bright-eyed girl!
