Jack is a wonderful young Springer who needs a family of his own. He is off to a good start with his training and does well with other friendly dogs. However, he is a high energy, “go, go, go” type of dog who needs a lot of exercise, further training and an activity or two to keep his mind busy and working.
Jack is very intelligent, inquisitive, and quick to learn. He would make a great addition to a dog-savvy family with some Springer experience. He is not an appropriate first dog for a new owner. Because he is still learning his manners, he would be too much for children and cats. So he will need a family with all adults or older teenagers.
He is loving to the extreme and has zero respect for personal space. If he wants kisses, he will be front and center, demanding them. He likes to be close with his humans. He is also very food motivated and will hop right up to check out the human snacks.
Jack is full of energy, so a yard with at least a six-foot high fence and some room to run is a requirement. He also needs a friendly doggie older brother or sister to show him the ropes. He loves playing fetch and swimming, so if you have a pond, creek or pool, he may go for a swim. He plays well with other dogs and is respectful of older and smaller dogs who would rather not roughhouse.
