Dash is a super happy, wiggle-butt Springer who is searching for his true Forever Home. He is was surrendered by his owners after too many life changes. He was a loved member of the family, but due to a move and changing family circumstances, including the addition of several young children, Dash has had a lot of uncertainty in his short life.
Cute, clever Dash knows some commands. He sits nicely for treats and is okay with eating around the other dogs. Dash is equally happy being a couch potato, playing fetch, or going for a walk. He adores lying on the couch while his foster mom watches TV, and he’s the first to hop into the bed when it’s bedtime. He can keep you toasty warm on those cold winter nights to come!
Dash’s perfect home would be in a family without other dogs and without small children. Dash believes that he should be the center of attention. He can be jumpy around children and protective of his toys and his people.
This young guy is active without being overbearing. He’s housetrained and crate trained, although he would much rather be out with his people than in a crate. Dash does well with the cats in his foster home, but he likes to try to play with them sometimes. He would be fine with dog-savvy cats.
Dash needs a family who will show him what it means to have unconditional love. He particularly needs someone who can help him him understand how great it is to be a dog in a calm, safe environment and who can also guide and help him with manners and training. This is a strong boy who does need some time and reinforcement with walking on a leash and following commands, but he is very smart, and he learns quickly! Could you be Dash’s happily ever after? If so, please contact his case managers at the email address below.
Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and the final decision rests with the dog’s case manager.
