Cooper is a sweet, mellow boy. His foster family describes him as an easy keeper. He came to ESRA when his family's situation changed, and he has assimilated into his foster home with ease.
This handsome guy has good manners and has been well trained. He knows basic commands like Sit, Stay, Down, and Play Dead. He is housetrained and has free rein of the house when his foster family is at work during the day. Cooper walks well on a leash and has good recall. He also loves car rides!
Although he lives with other dogs in his foster home and gets along with them, Cooper does need to be fed separately as he gets protective of his food. He is also cat-approved. At times, this big boy is full of energy and acts as if he’s still a pup, but he enjoys his downtime, too.
Like most Springers, Cooper is focused on his people. If you're looking for a couch buddy, Cooper will join you, but he's just as happy lying on the floor nearby. He craves attention and love, and he'll return those things in kind.
Cooper is the full package! He is very healthy for his age and size: he has been neutered, is current on all his vaccinations, and has tested negative for heartworm. He's ready to find his Forever Home, and he's hoping for a new family who will want to meet him soon. If you think that family might be yours, please fill out an online Adoption Application and then contact his case manager.
Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and the final decision rests with the dog’s case manager.
