- Black & white
Hi--my name is Cooper! I am a two-to-three-year old male, black and white Springer (possibly Lab?) mix and I weigh 65 pounds. I am hoping to find a family that can teach me the ropes and give me lots of love and exercise.
Let me tell you a bit about myself. I was found on the streets south of Houston, but I wasn’t a stray for very long thanks to the nice people at ESRA. I am in good health, other than some intestinal parasites which my foster Mom is treating me for. I am neutered, heartworm negative, current on vaccinations and microchipped. I'm ready to find my Forever Home!
My foster parents have taught me how to take care of my business outdoors (at least most of the time). I love to play with their other Springer children. I haven’t met another dog or person I don’t like, although I haven’t met a cat as of yet. I sleep all night in my very own crate in my foster parents laundry room without making a peep. I am trying to learn not to jump on people who come to visit. I like going on long walks either on or off a leash. I like staying close to my foster mom and dad and I really have no interest in running away.
My foster parents tell me I am precious and that I should find a good Forever Home in no time at all. I don’t want to be picky, but my perfect home would have a big backyard to play in with another dog or two with parents who are very active and willing to take the time to help me learn how to be a good dog all of the time.
Might that be you?
Waiting to hear from you,
Special note to all out-of-state applicants: Please ask your State Coordinator to forward your approved Adoption Application to the contact listed. Also note that all out-of-state adopters must come to Texas/Oklahoma to retrieve their dog. Dogs will not be allowed to fly in the cargo area of a commercial aircraft. Smaller dogs that meet the weight and size restrictions for in-cabin flight will be allowed to travel in the main cabin area under the front seat of their adopter in an approved carrier following FAA and airline regulations. Cost of canine airline travel will be the responsibility of the adopting family.
Please note: Due to the heat of the summer months, the airlines will not fly dogs during this season. Please don’t ask us to do that.
