Our Cody is a joyful Springer who brightens the lives of his people. Happy is his favorite state of being! Cody has created a niche for himself in his foster home by offering his friendship to all.

As a Velcro Springer, he loves his people and likes to be a part of household activities. He is respectful of his older foster brother and is patient with the resident puppy. Cody is house and crate trained, rides well in the car, rarely barks, comes when called and has lived comfortably with two cats. Cody’s exercise needs are moderate and he does well with a daily leash walk.

Although we think Cody is pretty special, like all of us, he has some habits. He occasionally likes the sport of counter surfing and will chew socks and tissues. He could use leash training as he can pull.

His former family released him due to resource guarding behavior. We have not seen this behavior. Cody needs a home who can continue the smart handling and positive reinforcement his foster family has provided.

Cody’s foster family says: Cody is an absolute joy to be around. He is sweet and loyal and is always glad to see you.

We believe Cody will do best with a dog-savvy adult family, or one with older children. He would like a family that is home more than away. He would do well with an active retired family.

Please let us know if you think you are the right family for Cody.
