Chase is a very sweet seven-year-old who was surrendered to ESRA when their family had to relocate. His current foster family reports he is a joy and will be a wonderful addition to the lucky family who becomes his forever home.
Chase has very nice house manners – he rarely barks, has no accidents and does not counter-surf. He loves his crate (with the door left open) and his comfy dog beds. He loves car rides. Once he understood house rules about dogs staying off the furniture and beds, he complied without issue. He is gentle with children and very affectionate with his foster humans.
Chase has proven to be very quirky with other dogs. Although Chase enjoys the company of the other female Springers in his foster home, he has proven to not be good with most other dogs. He has been extremely reactive to other dogs while being leash walked as well as aggressive when introduced to other dogs in yards and homes. Chase has also been very reactive to cats met while on walks. His adopter MUST be a family with no other dogs (and no doggy visitors) who is home with him a lot and has a securely-fenced yard for adequate exercise.
Chase is generally very healthy. He has had a history of ear infections and hot spots. This is generally well controlled with allergy meds and diligent ear cleanings, but flare ups should be expected. He is up to date on all vetting.
This handsome boy is goofy and delightful. He needs a family who will spend a lot of time with him. That family will be rewarded with a loving and devoted companion.
