UPDATE 6/21: Queenie's puppies are ready for their Forever Homes. They are housetrained, crate trained, leash trained and even have a head start on basic obedience and agility!
Looking for a loving companion to spice up your life for years to come? Look no further than our darling spice-inspired litter of eight little Springer mix puppies.
Mama Queenie was rescued in early April in Louisiana, and quickly transported to an experienced Florida foster home just a few days before the puppies arrived. These fast-growing little pups are almost five weeks old (born April 13) and will be available for adoption in mid-June. It appears that the father may have been a Labrador Retriever.
The litter of eight pups includes four boys and four girls. Ginger and Annatto are the cream-colored females. Sage and Cayenne are the black females. Meric and Saffron are the cream-colored males while Licorice and Basil are the males with black coats.
After they are adopted out, Queenie will undergo heartworm treatment. She will be available later this summer after she receives a clean bill of health.
Important notes about puppies:
We do not place puppies as presents or surprises. The entire prospective adopting family needs to meet their potential puppy. Also, please remember that puppies require a lot of care, attention, and training, and they do chew on things. The decision to get a puppy and raise it to be a healthy, happy, and well-adjusted dog is a serious commitment.
Because these puppies are so young, they will be placed on a spay/neuter contract. This means that in addition to the regular adoption fee, a monetary deposit will be required, and it will be refundable when proof of spay or neuter is supplied to ESRA.
