We are excited to introduce Buck! This sweet little guy is the definition of a cuddle bug. He came into the care of ESRA after he was picked up as a stray and taken to a local shelter. We do not know much about Buck’s past, but we have discovered several things about him. The vet thinks that he is about one year old. Buck gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats. He is housetrained and is working on crate training. And he is a champion snuggler!
Buck has adjusted quickly to his foster home, and he enjoys playing with his three canine foster siblings. He especially likes to chase and wrestle with them. Because of his love for the resident dogs, we think that Buck would do best in a Forever Home with another young dog who likes to play. He is starting to learn about dog toys, and he is finding that he enjoys them! Despite his delight in playing with toys and other dogs, however, Buck has decided that his very favorite place to be is with his people. This cuddly guy loves to give hugs and get them in return.
Clever Buck is working on basic training and is catching on quickly. He will need to attend obedience classes with his new family. This will help strengthen the bond between him and his people, set boundaries for Buck, and help him to be the best dog he can be. Buck has gone to work with his foster mom, where he enjoys meeting new people and just hanging out. He also enjoyed removing the stuffed toy ducks that had been placed under the Christmas tree as decorations!
This good-looking youngster is neutered and is current on his vaccines. He tested heartworm negative and is on heartworm preventive medication. Anyone interested in adopting Buck must realize that in order for him to become a wonderful friend and companion, it is absolutely necessary to include him in all phases of the family’s life. Buck will enjoy any and all activities as long as his family is near him. If you have the time to devote to loving Buck, and room in your heart and home for an affectionate, adorable guy, please have an approved application on file and be prepared to fall in love.
Due to Buck’s recent neuter, he will not be available for adoption until the first week of January 2019.
Please note that an approved application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog’s case manager.
