We are pleased to introduce Southern California’s newest bonded pair, Blue Belle and Spoti. These wonderful senior ladies had their world turned upside down recently when their owner became ill and found it necessary to relinquish his four Springers. These girls have always been together, and because they are extremely bonded, they will need to be adopted together. Find out about the rewards and benefits of welcoming a bonded pair into your family!

Blue Belle (Blue, for short) is just a big love who always has a smile on her face. She frequently comes up for cuddles. Blue has a great deal of energy. She loves to run around the property and enjoys playing tug of war with one of her foster brothers. Blue appears to be mostly deaf, and she relies on her best friend, Spoti, for guidance. She has great manners both inside and outside the house, and she knows all the basic commands. Blue loves people and gets along just fine with her foster brothers and sister.

Spoti is a bit on the shy side, but after a couple days in foster care she started to come out of her shell enough to ask for cuddles. Spoti has an incredible amount of energy for her age, and she enjoys running with her best friend, Blue. She pretty much ignores the other dogs, but she and Blue are almost always found within sight of each other. Spoti also has very good manners and knows all the basic commands.

When they came into foster care, Blue and Spoti made themselves right at home from the start. They both love car rides and walk beautifully on leash. Each girl sleeps in her own crate at night, but they enjoy napping together during the day. They are housetrained and are incredibly well behaved. They get along with all the resident Springers. They are easygoing and don’t mind grooming or vet visits. These dogs are not child tested, and we prefer that they do not go to a home with young children. We feel that the ideal home for Blue and Spoti will be with an active retired couple who will enjoy a couple of companions when taking walks, working in the yard, or just relaxing in the house.

Spoti and Blue will thrive in a new environment where they will have the sole attention of their new family and where someone will be home most of the time. Their Forever Family will need a strong commitment to include these wonderful Springers into every aspect of their lives. Blue and Spoti will enjoy going for walks, running errands with you, and playing and sniffing in a secure backyard. These sweet girls are crate trained and have always slept at night inside their crates, so their new Forever Home will need to include two large wire crates with pads for them to sleep in. The girls may transition to dog beds at some point, but keeping them comfortable in their new environment with what they are used to is very important at the start.

These lovely ladies have recently been completely vetted. Both have had dental exams. They are up to date on all vaccinations, have tested negative for heartworm, and have been microchipped for safekeeping. Both of these great seniors are currently taking joint medication for minor arthritis. As with most of our seniors, there is some vision and hearing loss, but they are able to cope well. Blue was spayed when she came into foster care and Spoti has just been spayed.

Are you ready to double your daily quota of Springer love? This special pair will be available for adoption the week of July 22. They are, however, very eager to find their new Forever Home, and they hope that interested adopters will fill out an online Adoption Application right away and then contact their foster mom for more information about them.

Please note that an approved application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog’s foster home.
