Every day is “Groundhog Day” for Benny!

Benny wakes up every morning excited to see what the day will bring. He is happy to be in a home, to have fun foster brothers to play with, a yard to run in and stairs to jump off.

Most of all he is happy to have people who adore him.

Benny is a smart, sweet and extremely active boy. He plays nonstop. He loves to run in the house and slide across the hardwood floors to greet his foster mom and then back out the doggy door he goes. He loves to play fetch and will even bring the ball back to his person. He knows Sit, Come and is working on Stay. He is easily bribed by treats, kind words and petting. Since he is a very active, happy boy his foster mom is teaching him how to take potty breaks every so often. He is not food aggressive but gobbles his food down in seconds. He gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy a playful companion in his Forever Home or even play dates with other dogs. He does well at doggy day camp and it almost tired him out!

Benny needs an active family and needs to be a part of the family. He spent most of his prior life in a back yard or in a crate. He needs a dedicated family who is committed to continue his training and would love a hiking partner, obedience lessons and agility training.

He has not been around cats and his foster mom feels a home without small children or elderly people would be best. He is so happy that he may jump or run and knock them down. He settles down well at night and loves to snuggle with his foster mom on the couch or the bed. Benny is nervous at the groomer and the vet, as this is a new experience for him.

With his cute Springer wiggle butt and his long beautiful tail, he attracts attention wherever he goes!
