Springers for Seniors

Hi there! My name is Bear and I am looking for my Forever Home. I am a very happy, goofy Springer boy! I love to go for walks and I really enjoy the outdoors. I sure would like another dog in my new home for company and I even get along with cats! Children make me nervous, so my perfect home would be one with one or two stay-at-home adults. I am perfectly house trained and am learning to stay home alone for short periods. My favorite thing to do is go for car rides. I like it so much that sometimes when I get home, I just want to stay in the car. Sometimes I growl when I am cornered or feel threatened, but my foster mom reassures me and tells me I am safe now. She tells me I am blossoming in foster care. I really do love my new life with people who love me and understand me.

Waiting for you,

From Bear’s foster mom:

Bear is such a good boy! He craves pets, belly rubs and lots of attention. He does need a calm, patient, dog-savvy owner who can work with his fear issues. His new family should use positive reinforcement training only. He needs a gentle hand and soft voice and would benefit with help from a dog trainer. Once Bear trusts you, you have a friend for life! He is on an inexpensive thyroid medication for life and would benefit from joint supplements. He knows Sit, Stay, Down and Come. Plus he loves treats and rewards!

Please contact us if you can provide Bear with the very special home that he needs.

Please submit an Online Adoption Application if you are interested in Bear. It is always the first step in our adoption process.
