Read about the special connection shared by a bonded pair.

Meet our sweet-natured love bugs:  Ally and Noah. Ally, aged 10, and her son Noah, aged 9, are truly the definition of a bonded pair. They eat together, drink water Springers for Seniorstogether, and sleep together. Noah especially monitors his mother if they are in different areas of the yard or house, always returning to check on her and lick her muzzle. Prior to coming into rescue, Ally and Noah were with a family who loved them and taught them manners. This is reflected in how obedient and sweet they are. They are both Velcro dogs following you everywhere and wanting to be with you at all times. They get along well with other dogs, cats, and even free-ranging chickens. They also are very fond of children. They are house trained and are learning to use the dog door in their foster home.

Both Ally and Noah get excited for their morning walk. Ally is not able to go as far as Noah due to some arthritis. With some anti-inflammatory medication, good supplements and some weight loss, the distance she is comfortable walking is increasing each day. Noah could go forever! His foster family says he is energetic and acts more like a 4 year old than a 9 year old. He is not hyperactive, just enthusiastic. Noah does pull on the leash. His foster is working on this, but he will need some additional training on his leash manners.

Both dogs are happy to be in the house and settle right down into snuggle mode. They love to be with you on the couch with their heads in your lap. Noah is a talker and smiles a lot. He also loves to hug. Ally loves to be close, preferably touching you. They are currently sleeping at night in their dog beds. However, they were previously allowed in bed and would really like to have that privilege again in their Forever Home. Noah will counter surf, so all food and trash needs to be secured. Ally and Noah are not destructive in the house and can be trusted when you are away. They are not crate trained and do not need to be crated.

Both Noah and Ally are heart worm negative, up to date on all their vaccinations and spayed and neutered.

Ally and Noah would do best in a Forever Home where their humans are with them most of the time. They are special dogs that are looking for a special Forever Home. If you have fallen in love with these two sweet mother and son Springers, please submit an Online Adoption Application if you are interested in them and contact their case manager. It is always the first step in our adoption process.

Please note:  while Ally is available for the Springers for Seniors program, Noah is not.
