Are You Considering a Springer Puppy?

How to become an educated owner

As a rescue organization, we feel strongly that breeding should be done very carefully by those that are educated about genetics and the breed standard. An educated breeder needs to have knowledge about the common breed health problems of hip dysplasia, blindness, and seizures, as well as temperament issues and conformation.

In the U.S. there are no shortages of people randomly putting 2 nice dogs together for fun or profit, creating adorable Springer puppies but you will need to do your homework by phone and references.

Our breed parent club, the ESS Field Trial Association has excellent information about Springers and finding a quality breeder.

On occasion we do get puppies and young dogs into rescue, so you are more than welcome to submit an application and discuss your wishes with your coordinator.
