Are You Considering a Springer Spaniel Puppy?

How to become an educated owner

As a rescue organization, we feel strongly that breeding should be done very carefully by those that are educated about genetics and the breed standard. An educated breeder needs to have knowledge not just about appearance, but also about common breed health problems of hip and elbow dysplasia, eye diseases, seizures, and temperament issues.

In the U.S. there are no shortages of people breeding Springer Spaniels for fun or profit, creating adorable Springer puppies to sell on Craigslist or Facebook. How do you know you are getting a healthy puppy with a great temperament? You will need to do your homework by phone and references.

On occasion we do get puppies and young dogs into rescue, so you are more than welcome to submit an application and discuss your wishes with your coordinator.
