Poor Ozzie!
His human dad died and left no one to care for
Ozzie. Ozzie has needed some special care for a while now, and has some terrible skin problems that need to be cleared up.
Some good food and medicine will eventually have him on the road to good health.
Ozzie is oh-so-sweet, and wants to be your buddy.
He is used to an adult home and being part of the family. A little wary of strangers, he just smiles and coos for a belly
rub!
Update July 1,
2004: Here is a long over due update on my foster Ozzie. He is doing
so fantastic! What a difference 2 months of good food, medication and love can make! Ozzie has regrown all his fur and is
eating and playing and having fun. No longer afraid of everything, he is chasing birds and barking and having tons of fun.
Its almost hard to remember the terrified, thin, naked dog that came here in April. He is still taking medication for his
thyroid and taking weekly baths for his skin. This beautiful guy is looking for his new home!
Update September 16, 2005: Hi to all from Ozzie! A special note to his Special Needs donors. Thanks so much for supporting Ozzie. He continues to do well in foster care.
Ozzie's neglect in his young years has taken a toll on his socialization, and it looks as if he will spend more time in long term foster care. This month Ozzie has learned to play. He loves to play with stuffed toys and a soft soccer ball! He has a new love, his new ESRA volunteer friend Stacey, who comes to play with him and take him for car rides. She always brings him a new toy and Ozzie thinks she is the GREATEST!
