Henry was pulled from a shelter, having arrived as a stray, and deemed 'unadoptable' because of a 'skin condition'. He's an extremely attentive, intelligent and loving boy who's in perfect health, other than the 'skin problem'.

We've basically determined that Henry suffers from allergies, and are working to determine the exact cause of the allergy. He's doing
beautifully and healing very well on Wellness Fish & Sweet Potato dry food and treats. He may need to be on this food for his life-time,
which may be a consideration for potential adopters as it's more costly than many other foods. He's also on antibiotics, Revolution, vitamin suppliments and medicated baths, which he loves!

Henry's sweet temperment shines through to those he meets; he seems to look right into you with his soulful Springer eyes! When first meeting Dr. Jennifer, at Waverly Animal Hospital, Henry promptly offered his paw for an official greeting and sat up begging for attention at the end of his exam!

A polite and very smart boy, Henry knows sit, shake, give me five, give me ten, go in your crate, will lay down when and where you tell him to, walks well on a leash and will sit up for attention or treats. He's the shadow of his foster mom, dad and three foster doggie brothers. He'll join the chase of our resident cat when one of his 'brothers' starts it, following the pack. Henry loves car rides, but doesn't enjoy
being left in the car if you go to a non-dog-friendly destination!

Henry will be neutered on 06/26 and brought current on vaccinations if his vet feels he's improved enough for them. Hopefully, Henry will get a clean bill of health and be loved by his 'forever' family very soon.
