Fearless Fred is approximately 11 yrs. old, and he was previously owned by a person who did not take care of himproperly. His life has been that of neglect with swollen chronically infected ears, eyes blinded by inflammation and pus, allergies, and a salivary gland cyst, which was corrected after he was rescued. When he was rescued, his coat was horribly matted and infested with maggots. After two surgeries the cyst in Fred's cheek has improved, and his ear and eye infections are now controlled by medication, though he's lost much of his vision from the chronic neglect. This doesn't seem to slow him down, however, and he blazes along on his daily walks, making his foster mom hurry to keep up.

Fred is housetrained, and sleeps in his crate with the door open. He's an affectionate boy who wants nothing more than to be near his people. He loves hugs, treats, chasing his brightly-colored ball, and especially loves gentle children. He's protective of his food (mostly when other dominant males are around) and ignores cats. Won't you give this special guy the loving home he deserves?
