HAPPY ENDINGS!

STONEY

Stoney

My husband and I adopted Stoney in January, 2004. We had recently lost our third Springer and vowed we would never get another, the grief of losing Daisy, Bethy and Sparky was just too much to bare. However, our house was too clean and too lonely and so my husband began looking at the Springer rescue website.

We live in the Houston area and when we looked at the pictures of the Springer's, we knew that Stoney was the dog for us. He had that "Happy Dog" look and his foster mom described him as the "friendliest guy she had met in a long time." Well, we contacted Marie with Springer rescue and went to meet him. When they brought him out,my husband bent down and put his arms around Stoney's neck, and the rest is history.

Stoney has been with us a year now. Our house is a mess with toys and dog chewies everywhere. He was worst in his class at obedience school but he did learn a few basic commands. Stoney has so much life and just wants to be loved. He sleeps between us everynight and loves to go for walks. He doesn't like to go outside by himself so we have to sit on the patio while he does his thing in the yard. His only really bad habit is tearing up the garbage if you leave the can where he can get to it. He has so much energy that we began to take him to a Doggy Play Day and that has really helped him expend some of that energy. We also have a granddaughter that is 16 months old and Stoney is very gentle with her. She feeds him her snacks and he really likes that.

We are so grateful to the great folks at Springer Rescue for helping us find our little guy.
