HAPPY ENDINGS!

SPENCER and WALKER

My husband and I had two Springers that we got as puppies.  One died of cancer when she was 8 and the other lived to a ripe old age of 15 1/2.  One month after she died I was surfing the web and found Walker.  We adopted him in July of 2002.  We decided that Walker needed a playmate as he loved to play with other dogs so we went back to the website and found Spencer.

Spencer was found on Spencer Highway in Pasadena, Texas weighing 26 pounds.  He was brought to the ESRA and found to have a pancreatic insufficiency which with the right medication could help him to gain weight.  We got Spencer in May 2004 and at first Walker was a little jealous, but now they are best buddies.  By the way, as of the last time he was weighed he was up to 40 pounds.  He has his special enzymes with peanut butter with his meals twice a day and boy does that do the trick.  Both of our boys are very happy in their home.  They have 2 doggie doors they they uses mulitiple times a day to go out and watch the golfers (we live on a golf course), chase bunny rabits and birds.   We are so happy to have these guys and we're pretty sure they are happy to be here too.

In the rope playing picture Spencer is on the right and Walker is on the left.  In the other one Spencer is on the left and Walker on the right.
