We rescued "Sophie" from a local shelter this week. She recently had a litter of puppies, was very scared at the shelter. She was spayed yesterday and went to her forever home today. Sophie is one of the sweetest, and most beautiful Springers you have ever met. And so very well mannered and polite. The best part is that her new family is wonderful. Larry took a day of vacation today and Monday, even though his wife stays at home, just to make sure that Sophie got comfortable in her new home. I wish I had a million homes like this one!

Hi Barbara and Audrey!

    I have finally finished my long ride to Cleveland and I have been exploring my new people's house for a while. I think I will like it here, It's quiet, not like the shelter and there was cold water waiting for me to drink after my trip. We had a great picnic with some girls from my new Dad's work and Aunt Barbara. I sure do owe a lot to Aunt Audrey for getting me out of the shelter and picking me up from the Vet's. I think she would have made a real good Mom too, she is real special to me! I am so glad that Aunt Barbara works with lots of other lucky dogs like me and finds us good homes. She is very special too!
    Well I think I will nap some and catch up with my resting. I have been through a lot of different situations in the last two weeks and I am ready to sleep with both eyes closed for a change! Thanks again to both of you for rescuing me and finding some new people..I think I am going to enjoy living up here in the mountains!
