SHELBY
We adopted Shelby the end of August from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and transported her to her new home in Arkansas.
She was found as a stray (although we cannot figure out why anyone whould have dropped such a loving and beautiful dog) and was rescued by a foster mom and then adopted by us.
We decided to adopt after having to put our own springer down because of a losing battle with Lyme Disease. Shelby is the most wonderful dog! She is a senior and comes with a few minor health issues. Her eyesight and hearing aren't what they used to be and she doesn't have full strength of her back legs but she is the sweetest dog we have ever had. She loves to go for walks and to snuggle. She is friendly to everyone she meets and is very calm.
In the car she rides like a dream and never pulls on the leash. She is better trained than the springer we raised from a pup! Of course we hope she lives many more happy years, but have already decided to adopt again in the future if our house becomes empty again.
She is the perfect dog for us and we want to thank everyone in ESRA for allowing us to adopt her!!!
