HAPPY ENDINGS!

RILEY

We adopted Riley about 3 weeks ago and we couldn't be happier with our most recent addition to the family.  My husband had really wanted a puppy, I wanted an already-trained dog.  We finally went to look at Riley because he was just too cute (and he was only an hour away)!  We met with Riley and his foster mom and we bonded quite well, so much so that he jumped right in to leave with us when the time came.

Riley's story is unique in the sense that his original owners had given him up so that when they moved to Hawaii he wouldn't have to be quarantined for 6 months.  They had given him to a co-worker Lynn.  Lynn's other dog didn't like the addition and the foxtails were problematic with Riley so she contacted ESRA to try to find a new family for Riley.  Thankfully, that was us!

Riley is such a good boy.  He is very well behaved both inside and out.  He pretty much ignores the cats, which really seems to bother the cats!  He lets me wipe off his feet every day before he comes in and everything.  He's even befriended the neighbor dog!  How well Riley had adjusted to his new life surprises me... right down to the fact that he lays on his bed quietly ALL night until we tell him to get up in the morning.  This is amazing since the cats are notorious for playing under the bed all morning (maybe they need to sleep in the garage??).

I am so glad that we found Riley!!!
