HAPPY ENDINGS!

MAGGIE

Maggie started out at a local shelter as a stray, was adopted and then brought back to that same shelter with apparent separation anxiety issues.  My local Springer rescue folks ( www.wvessa.org/rescue ) fostered her, then Penny, for about a month.  I saw that adorable face online and HAD to meet her.  I drove out to meet her and at first she didn't pay too much attention to me...she let me pet her, gave a few kisses but was distant.  Over the course of that next week I kept thinking about her and had fallen in love with her so I went  out one more time to see if we were a fit.  She was  very excited to see me this time and wouldn't leave my side.  She jumped right into my car and 10 minutes into the ride home was sleeping peacefully...like she knew she was going home.  I just adore this dog!

From Maggie:  I just love my new home.  I have my very own doggie bed...but I don't use it too much.  Mom's bed is even more comfortable...and I love snuggling with my doggie sister Sheba anyway.  We have the greatest neighborhood walks....we have the best park at the end of the street.  It's as if it were made for doggies to chase frisbees there.  I get to go swimming a couple times a week.  I've been teaching my sister Sheba about the water...she doesn't really understand it but she's coming along pretty good now.  I've been with my new mom for almost a year now and I am just lovin' life...it's good to be a dog!
