HAPPY ENDINGS!

JESSE

Ooh la la! Regardez le chien dans Paris!

My name is Jesse and I am a happy dog!

I first met my mom, Anne, on May 19, when she flew all the way from France to come and pick me up in Michigan.

I had been living with my foster parents Colleen and Darren, and with my foster sister Zoie. I enjoyed my life with them very much, but after a few days, mom decided that we had to go home. She said that everything would be okay, but I had no idea what she was talking about.

We got to a big place, they say it's an airport, with enormous birds called airplanes. Way too big for me to catch ! And guess what? They put me in the belly of one of these birds. Once in there, there was nothing much to do, so I decided to take a nap.

When I woke up, they were taking me out of the airplane. Fun I thought, the air smells different, and people here use a language I don't understand. Now that was a little bit scary, but suddenly I saw her: mom was here, I was so happy and I knew everything would be okay.

She took me to my new home in Paris, and there was a surprise waiting for me out there: I was going to have a big sister of my own. Her name is Looping, and she looks like me, so people really believe we're twins!

I have been with my new family a little more than a month now, and my life has changed a lot: I understand this strange language now, they say it's French, and I get to see beautiful places, even the Eiffel Tower.

Mom says that if I want to be a French lady, we have to work on my manners, and I'm very happy to learn.

This has been a great adventure for me and mom, and on behalf of her, I would like to thank Jan Flagg, Colleen McCann and Stacy Gessert for bringing us together. I send you lots of doggie kisses from overseas.

I really am a happy and a blessed dog.
