He's doing well, and accompanying me on walks thrice a day and on occasional rides in my car--such beautiful fall weather (cold!). Just the way we like it. He is an amazing dog. Most of the time when I'm at my computer, learning html, doing research, or writing e-mail, he just lies on his side or curls up in a ball. But as soon as I rise from the chair, he's up again, shaking his fur into place and ready to make those short spurts and leaps around me. And fetch--does he ever! Does it several times before he decides he's tired. Calls it quits by holding onto the bone.

Those hours when I'm away at work I get the feeling he sleeps. I'm glad he feels comfortable in my absence (at least that's what I've been told), and this makes me all the more glad that I got him.

Foster's an amazing dog.
