Hi, my name is Disney and I am going to tell you my happy
ending story.
Exactly one year ago, September 26, 1999, I formally become
"Disney" and came to my new home.
I was named "Red" for the first 9 1/2 years. I was given
up by my previous owner who was moving. She gave me a short time to find a
new home or she'll put me to sleep. I was featured on the ESRA home page as
an urgent case. It said: "I have until Sept. 26 to find a new home. Please
help me." and that's exactly the date I came to my forever home. Thanks
to ESRA, especially auntie Jan Flagg, not only I survived, I came to
the best home I could ever ask for.

My mom give me a new name "Disney" because she wants
me to be young and happy. She loves me so much that she makes a web site just
for me! And the web site is called "Disney
Land"! You can learn a lot about me from my web site. My full adoption
story can be found at About
Me page.
The
past year is the happiest year of my life! My daddy and mommy love me to pieces.
They do not have kids, so I am their baby. They took me almost everywhere
they go. Dad and mom's lives have totally changed because of me. They seldom
went out and had very few friends before. But after my adoption, we take walks
daily to the nearby lake park and we get to know know almost everyone in our
neighborhood. We met so many human and doggie friends in all kinds of ESRA
events. I also make some very good friends with my web site visitors. Not
only I am happy, their lives have become happier and healthier as well! Dad
and mom's families are all in Taiwan, so I am their dearest family member
in our small family in the US. Mom never feels loney again after having me.
:-)
We
are so grateful that ESRA saved my life. Dad and mom joined ESRA and become
rescue members as well. They want to help other springers that need helps
just like I did.
I am 10 1/2 years old now, I wish I have many more years to
live with my dad and mom. At the first anniversary, I want to thank ESRA and
all the volunteers for all their efforts and hard work on saving springers.
Without your help, I would have gone to the rainbow bridge last year. Thank
you!
Love,
Disney
