HAPPY ENDINGS!

CLARABELLE

Hi! My name is Clarabelle and I have had a very exciting life for a pup. I am so happy to be in my new home with my mom and dad. My new forever home is in a place called Pennsylvania close to where a REALLY BIG kitty named the Nittany Lion lives. My new mom and dad (they are the greatest!) got to know my foster mommy Lisa Leach last year when they adopted my big brother Scooter the Brittany. Mommy Lisa was Scooter’s foster mom too. Isn’t that great! I guess Lisa works for NBRAN and ESRA both and I think that’s pretty neat!

In March of 2007, my new mommy called Ohio (that is where I used to live) and talked to foster Lisa and told her she wanted to adopt another rescue dog so Scooter would have a friend to play with. Mommy wanted Scooter’s friend to be one of Lisa’s foster dogs because she liked everything about how Lisa took care of Scooter. She trusted Lisa to pick out the perfect dog to be Scooter’s friend, and Lisa picked me, Clarabelle! I came to live with Lisa after a bad person dumped me and my two sisters in southern Ohio. It was scary and lonely living in the woods, but lucky for us, our sister Buttercup is a take charge kind of girl. She kept us safe until the shelter people finally caught us. They got all the bugs off of us, gave us a bath, good food and water and a safe, warm place to sleep. They called the nice people at ESRA, and soon we were on the way to Lisa’s house in Westerville, OH.

Lisa was waiting for us and for the first few days she watched us really close and talked to us a lot. After about a week, she began to talk to me about my new forever home. I didn’t understand what she meant then, but I do now! Thanks Lisa for taking good care of me and for finding me the perfect forever home. I love my new mommy and daddy, my grandma, and especially my big brother Scooter. He has really long legs (they look like stilts!) and I keep trying to win when we race, but he beats me to the squirrel tree every time! I guess I am not big enough yet, but one of these days I will beat him, just wait and see!

Clarabelle’s mom and dad here: Thank you Lisa and all the ESRA volunteers in Ohio! We love Clarabelle and she has been a wonderful addition to the family. Thanks for caring and for all you do to help these wonderful animals.
