HAPPY ENDINGS!

CHARLIE'S ANGEL

Angel and her new mom.

She had no name when she went to auction in Missouri in early 2000.

She was determined to have no worth by her breeder. Her coat and overall health were worn, probably due to numerous breedings. At auction she was purchased for $5 by a caring couple who took her to a rescue person named Charlie.

When Charlie realized she could not care for this dog due to a high number of other dogs already in her care, this dog now named Charlie's Angel made her way into ESRA's foster care program.

Angel was spayed, vaccinated, tested for heartworm, and given a real life of attention while in foster care in Missouri. But, getting rescue bird dogs adopted from that state is difficult. So, after many months there in foster, Angel was transported to ESRA's foster care program in Florida.

While there, her new foster mom continued her health care with particular attention paid to her teeth. Angel took on a new look, and found herself having to learn to peacefully co-habitate with other Springers in her foster home. With the direction and care from her Florida foster mom, Angel turned out to be one very special and very adoptable girl.

Today, 11-14-00, Angel was delivered to her new home in Tallahassee, Florida. Her second chance to be loved and wanted became a reality today, starting many months ago with that $5 purchase.

ESRA wishes to thank all those involved with Angel's case. Special thanks to Margret Letterman, June Davis, and Trouchen Sessions. All three of you made a real difference in Angel's life.
