ANDY
"Andy" was adopted in April 2003. He is a very happy and well loved Springer with his new forever family: Lori and Mark (mom and dad), Joey and Hannah (brother and sister), and Amanda (the cat).
Andy's new mom shared these updates with us....
I
just had to write you both to tell you that Andy is the
best dog!!! It's the
first day, and it seems as natural as if he had been here forever.
I can see how much Andy must have played tug of war with
Pepper [his ex-foster sister] -- that is his favorite thing to do with
Joey. We bought one of those ropes that has like three knots in it, and
they drag each other around. Today I heard uncontrollable giggling from the
family room and by the time I got there, Joey was on his rear end being
pulled across the floor by Andy -- it looked like he was water skiing!
Andy
and Hannah have bonded like crazy. He lets her beep his nose and point to
his eyes and ears -- she gives him kisses on his snout. Before bed she has
to hug him around his neck just like she does with all the people in the
house. When she is being changed into jammies he comes over to her and
tickles her bare tummy with his nose -- cracks her up!!!
Andy is so cute -- he is happy to let Amanda be the dominant one -- he lies down and lets her sniff him. She seems to like the arrangement.
Update on Andy, 2/12/04
Dear Springer Rescue,
I wanted to send you an update on Andy. He is still pictured in the "Happy Endings" area. We are approaching the one-year anniversary of getting Andy (a month and a half away -- April) and are planning to celebrate. Andy is the best dog ever! He is energetic and playful, but also likes to cuddle. He is still great with our kids, now 2 1/2 and almost 8. They have to give him good-night kisses every night before bed. Andy is truly a part of our family and we are so thankful to have him! Even our cat, Amanda, who is old and set in her ways, loves him. I cannot rave enough about Andy. He is the first Springer we have had, and we are sure we will stick with this breed from now on. We are so glad to have found such a great match for our family, and look forward to enjoying Andy for years to come. Thank you ESRA!!!!
